Free Trip To Austria And Hungary - Day 3 - 2Our first destination of the day is Visegrad Castle.

Visegrád is a small castle town in Pest County, Hungary. It is situated north of Budapest on the right bank of the Danube in the Danube Bend. It had a population of 1,864 in 2010. Visegrád is famous for the remains of the Early Renaissance summer palace of King Matthias Corvinus of Hungary and the medieval citadel. – Taken from:

What I’ve learned during our free trip to Hungary ini, basically, Budapest merupakan 2 small towns yang dipisahkan oleh Danube River. Basically, the one part is named Buda, and the other part of the town is named Pest. Buda ini lebih maju, manakala Pest pula banyak menjurus kepada historical buildings and similar to that. So, 2 small towns digabungkan menjadi bandar besar, dan dinamakan Budapest. So, basically, kalau you all pergi melawat Budapest, you all actually akan melawat 2 small towns yang sangat berbeza dari segi infrastructures and the scenery as well.

So, Videgrad Castle ini terletak di sebelah Pest of Budapest. First thought Mama apabila melihat Visegrad Castle ini, Mama rasa seperti Mama melawat castle yang ala-ala macam dalam ‘The Cave Of The Golden Roses’. Ala, yang cerita Fantaghiro itu? That’s how I felt at that time.

Free Trip To Austria And Hungary - Day 3 - 3Apabila we all sampai di Visegrad Castle, we all diarak bagaikan we all ini adalah kerabat diraja. And we all dihidangkan dengan teh, sambil menonton persembahan knights. Memang ibarat macam kerabat diraja yang menonton knights mereka berlawan sebagai hiburan mereka di zaman dahulu kala.

Free Trip To Austria And Hungary - Day 3 - 4Yupz, I’ve just had to take his picture, sebab dia sangat handsome, and sangat gagah apabila dia berlawanan pedang dengan opponent dia. Haish~~

Free Trip To Austria And Hungary - Day 3 - 5A picture with the handsome knight. The beautiful princess with the handsome knight. Haish~~ (Mode berangan).

Free Trip To Austria And Hungary - Day 3 - 30Selepas itu, semua pun hendak bergambar dengan the handsome knight. Sigh~~

Free Trip To Austria And Hungary - Day 3 - 6Memang indah sangat pemandangan from the top of the castle. Everything about this castle, is beautiful. Tidak tahu kenapa, Mama memang sangat suka sangat dengan castle ini, Memang Mama berangan habis untuk melawat a medieval castle, and berangan yang Mama ini Fantaghiro and satu hari nanti bertemu prince / knight yang sangat handsome ala-ala macam Romualdo.

Somehow, I think, part of my angan-angan telah pun menjadi kenyataan. Except the part of knight / prince yang handsome itu…:)

Free Trip To Austria And Hungary - Day 3 - 7Free Trip To Austria And Hungary - Day 3 - 8Breathtaking view. Subhanallah. Memang cantik sangat. Tidak terucap dengan kata-kata. If you do have the chance of visiting Budapest, Hungary, do visit Visegrad Castle. The view, Masya Allah…:)

Free Trip To Austria And Hungary - Day 3 - 9Free Trip To Austria And Hungary - Day 3 - 10Selepas sahaja melawat Visegrad Castle, we all berjalan menuruni bukit menuju ke Restoran Renaissance.Ya Allah, memang Mama sangat terkejut dengan treatment yang disediakan oleh our company kali ini. In this restaurant, we all sekali lagi dilayan bagaikan we all ini kerabat diraja, where ada waiter yang akan memainkan musical instrument to all of us, sambil we all sedang menikmati our lunch. And the lunch? The lunch was seriously superb. We all dihidangkan dengan ikan segar, and Ya Allah, Ya Allah, makanan yang dihidangkan memang sangat-sangat sedap. Tidak terkata Mama waktu Mama sedang menikmati hidangan from this restaurant ini. Terlampau sedap.

Free Trip To Austria And Hungary - Day 3 - 11And Mama found out that, restaurant ini merupakan tempat di mana kerabat diraja Visegrad Castle zaman dahulu kala menikmati santapan mereka setiap hari. Oh, wow! Now I am feeling like a royalty.

After having lunch, we all solat Zohor di restoran tersebut, and selepas itu we all menaiki bas and bertolak menuju ke our next destination, iaitu, Fisherman’s Bastion.

Free Trip To Austria And Hungary - Day 3 - 12Feeling ala-ala model di Fisherman’s Bastion.

The Fisherman’s Bastion is a terrace in neo-Gothic and neo-Romanesque style situated on the Buda bank of the Danube, on the Castle hill in Budapest, around Matthias Church. It was designed and built between 1895 and 1902 on the plans of Frigyes Schulek. Construction of the bastion destabilized the foundations of the neighbouring 13th century Dominican Church which had to be pulled down. Between 1947-1948, the son of Frigyes Schulek, János Schulek, conducted the other restoration project after its near destruction during World War II.

From the towers and the terrace a panoramic view exists of Danube, Margaret Island, Pest to the east and the Gellért Hill. Its seven towers represent the seven Magyar tribes that settled in the Carpathian Basin in 896.

The Bastion takes its name from the guild of fishermen that was responsible for defending this stretch of the city walls in the Middle Ages. It is a viewing terrace, with many stairs and walking paths.

Free Trip To Austria And Hungary - Day 3 - 13One of my dreams, is to see the real, the old church somewhere in European countries. Because, Mama memang teringin untuk melihat seni and art yang selalu ada pada gereja-gereja yang lama ini. And that dream has come true. No offense here. I am someone yang memang appreciate the beauty of old buildings and architectures around the world.

Memang Mama sudah lama menyimpan impian untuk bergambar ala-ala supermodel in one of the European countries. Bila lagi kan, hendak merasa pakai winter boots and winter jacket, sambil bergaya di negara luar yang cuacanya sangat sejuk, sambil bergaya ala-ala supermodel? Ahaks!

After visiting Fisherman’s Bastion, we all semua menaiki bas and singgah ke next famous destination in Budapest, iaitu Heroes’ Square.

Free Trip To Austria And Hungary - Day 3 - 25Heroes’ Square is one of the major squares in Budapest, Hungary, noted for its iconic statue complex featuring the Seven Chieftains of the Magyars and other important national leaders, as well as the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The square lies at the outbound end of Andrássy Avenue next to City Park. It hosts the Museum of Fine Arts and the Műcsarnok. The square has played an important part in contemporary Hungarian history and has been a host to many political events, such as the reburial of Imre Nagy in 1989. The sculptures were made by sculptor Zala György from Lendava.

After visiting the Heroes’ Square, we all menaiki bas untuk menuju ke our last destination of the day, which is, menaiki cruise sambil menikmati pemandangan sepanjang Danube River.

The Danube is Europe’s second-longest river, located in Central and Eastern Europe. Classified as an international waterway, it originates in the town of Donaueschingen, which is in the Black Forest of Germany, at the confluence of the rivers Brigach and Breg. The Danube then flows southeast for 1,914 km, passing through four capital cities before emptying into the Black Sea via the Danube Delta in Romania and Ukraine.

Once a long-standing frontier of the Roman Empire, the river passes through or touches the borders of ten countries: Romania (29.0% of basin area), Hungary (11.6%), Serbia (10.2%), Austria (10.0%), Germany (7.0%), Bulgaria (5.9%), Slovakia (5.9%), Croatia (4.4%), Ukraine (3.8%), and Moldova (1.6%). Its drainage basin extends into nine more.

Free Trip To Austria And Hungary - Day 3 - 24Antara beberapa pemandangan yang menarik sepanjang cruise ini adalah The Liberty Bridge or Freedom Bridge. The Liberty Bridge in Budapest, Hungary, connects Buda and Pest across the River Danube. It is the third southernmost public road bridge in Budapest, located at the southern end of the City Centre. It was originally named Franz Joseph Bridge.

Alhamdulillah, syukur…:) Our day was ended after menaiki cruise tersebut. After that, we all pulang ke Hotel Hilton untuk merehatkan badan, because tomorrow we all akan bertolak ke Vienna, Austria.

Personally, I was having so much time during my third day for this free trip. Banyak sangat yang Mama belajar about this beautiful country and this beautiful city of Budapest. And Alhamdulillah, Mama dapat pergi secara percuma. Rasanya, kalau hendak pergi sendiri, entah berapa puluh ribu you have to spend kan? And somehow, memang travelling for free ini sangatlah menjimatkan and duit untuk travel tersebut Mama boleh buat as saving.

Alhamdulillah, syukur…:)

So, hopefully you all dapat stay tuned untuk my next entry for our free trip to Austria & Hungary ya.
